Tao leads the PathWise consulting solutions for researching and on-boarding life insurance products, scenario generation and hedge overlay. He has been a key member of the PathWise Solutions Group in supporting proprietary research and development efforts since 2008. Tao leads 20+ large-scale consulting projects including Kyobo IFRS17 project to help the client develop world-first IFRS17 platform in PathWise. Prior to joining Aon, he served at TD Financial Group Equity Derivative Trading Desk as a senior quantitative analyst. He also worked for Manulife Variable Annuity Hedging Department as a senior analyst. Tao earned his PhD in actuarial science from University of Toronto, a Master and an honour Bachelor’s Degree in financial mathematics from Beijing University. He is an associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
